Back to School Programme: Food Donation Drive 2017

As part of SST tradition, the Secondary Two students will be involved in a service-learning opportunity during the first week of school. Sec 2 will be conducting a Food Donation Drive in the neighbouring estates as part of your Back to School Programme. All food items will be donated to the beneficiaries of The Food Bank Singapore.

Please start collecting the following items in the back of the classroom starting Tuesday (3 Jan) and ending Friday (6 Jan):

  • White/Brown rice (5kg/2.5 kg)
  • Milo (tin/packet)
  • Condensed/Evaporated milk (canned)
  • Cereals (tin/packet)
  • Soy Sauce (1 litre/1.5 litre)
  • Cooking oil (1 litre/1.5 litre)
  • Salt/Sugar (small packets)
  • Biscuits (tin/ packet)
  • Canned food (halal / non-halal)
  • Dried Noodles/ Bee Hoon (packet)

Note: All food items must have an expiry date of no less than 6 months, and must not be opened or damaged in any way. As far as possible, please also ensure that the items are Halal, or contain no pork or lard.

Welcome Back S2-04

Hi there class!

My name is Miss Maggie Brown, and I will be your Form Teacher and Language Arts teacher for Secondary 2.

Before I meet you officially on Tuesday, 3 January during FT Time, I'd like to get to know you better. 

This weekend your task is to submit a 60-sec YouTube video introducing yourself using guided questions provided in these Google Slides. We'll be using Google My Maps to post the videos (you can view mine as a guide). I have shared the My Map via email for you to edit and the instructions are located in the Slides linked above. The due date is Monday, 2 January by 23:59

Other reminders for Tuesday:
1. Bring your signed Progress Report Book
2. Grooming and Attire check
3. Start collecting 10 medium-sized packing boxes for Food Donation at back of the classroom
4. Bring rags to clean classroom
5. Bring thermometer for Temperature Measurement Exercise on Friday, 6 January 2017.
